• Providing the accounting and consulting services contracted;
• Complying with legal and tax obligations applicable to the contractual relationship;
• Improving the operation and user experience of the site.

Processing of your data is based, as applicable, on the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (proposal requests), compliance with legal obligations Descontaplicar is subject to, or the consent you give us (for example, by accepting non-essential cookies).

6. Service providers and data sharing

Your data is not sold to third parties. To run the site and contact form, we rely on the following service providers, who act as processors and only handle data to the extent necessary:

• Netlify, Inc. — website hosting;
• FormSubmit.co — processing and forwarding of messages submitted through the contact form;
• Google (Google Fonts) — loading the typefaces used on the site, which may involve transmitting the visitor's IP address to Google's servers;
• Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) — anonymised/pseudonymised statistical analysis of site traffic and usage, using cookies as described in section 8.

We may also share data with other providers who support our accounting and consulting activity (for example, practice-management software), always in strict compliance with the law and only to the extent necessary.

7. International data transfers

Some of the providers listed above (namely Netlify and Google, including Google Analytics) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. In these cases, the transfer is safeguarded through appropriate mechanisms, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or adherence to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable.

8. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website, used to recognise you, remember preferences, or collect statistical information about your browsing.

The descontaplicar.pt site uses the following types of cookies:

Under applicable Portuguese law, non-essential cookies (such as analytics cookies) are only installed after your explicit consent, given through the cookie management panel shown on the site.
